A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the face and neck, such as: sagging facial skin, the lines and wrinkles between the nose and the corner of the mouth (nasolabial), loose and sagged excess skin or fat in the neck, double chin and etc. A facelift reduces wrinkles and sagging skin on the face and neck caused by aging or weight loss. The procedure removes excess skin, tightens the underlying muscles, and reshapes the skin in a higher position.
